Brooch-in' that situation.

Hello, hope you had a great weekend. Mine was somewhat laid back chilled at home with the husband and learned how to make curry chicken - Thai style....one of the many wonders of google. Felt like the perfect wife knowing that the way to a mans heart is definately through his stomach and boy his stomach has a lot of room.
I digress...recently we visited an antique store and I saw some beautiful brooches! the craftsmanship in making these pins were very advanced and were in numerous directions.

Brooches are one of the most essential pieces of accessories to have. They make great accents and ornaments and are quite useful for attaching garments together or hiding a spot on a clothing. Dressing up the simplest piece of clothing is always possible by your accessories.

They are mostly worn on the left or right side clothing near the shoulders by most people.
Some wear pins at the neck, as is common with cameos, or on a lower neckline of a garment in the center.

Styling I did for SHE magazine, where I used a brooch to hold garment in place on model

Weddings can benefit from brooches too, as they may be worn on the back or front of a wedding dress or to pin a veil.

Some pins, called scarf pins have an open front that enables a person to thread the scarf through the pin. These can provide secure hold for scarves that might otherwise slip or fall out of place easily.
