Closet pulls for "Shaggy and Friends" Benefit Concert

"Shaggy and Friends" is the ideal event to kick start each year. The major selling point of the event is the fact that all proceeds of the event goes to the improvement of the Bustamante Children's Hospital and it's always a star-studded line up.
So you may be thinking what to wear. Here is a guideline to the various ticket packages, which may help you determine how you should put your wardrobe together for this evening ;).

Platinum-tier
First class ambiance. Platinum-tier patrons will have to their satisfaction of an unlimited array of local and international beverages and spirits, hors d'oeuvre and great food from Jamaica's best chefs in a first-class ambiance.

Maxi skirts can definately be formalized.

This is me last year summer, in a DIY maxi skirt, I had worn to host an event. Had paired it with a blazer (not seen in pics).

A maxi skirt is an investment for timeless elegance. This could be worn with a delicate embellished blouse or if you would like to add a lil funk a cropped top could also be worn. Keep accessories vintage styled. I had accessorized with a box style clutch from forever 21.

Lace always gives a true feminine texture which comes in various styles. Some are done with overlays of  feathers, tulle and sometimes faceted crystals. To infuse a golden age glamour work this look with pin-thin heels and a small or boxy clutch to radiate a star quality.

Gold-tier
This is the "party zone". An area designed with a premium party atmosphere in mind.

Multi coloured sequin dresses are going to be making a statement for 2012. To work this look; your acessories should be sparkly but be sure to choose  just one or two pieces. If you are going to wear anything around the neckline make sure its bold but monochromatic...if your style is to not wear necklaces  - you may instead, try an eye catching bangle or a bracelet, earrings and a colorful clutch wallet. You could also dress it down with a jacket or half boots to taper the look.

In 2011 printed pants took over; 2012 blazers will be botanical. This is a cool eye catching pattern that could dress up a simple dress, be worn with a bodycon skirt skirt or be paired with trousers or leather leggings.

To accessorize this look go for an oversized envelope clutch:

Cocktail rings always make eye catching statements, wearing one or even two will add that elizabeth-tayloresque glamour.
Fringe can make anyone feel like having a goodtime or feeling like the ultimate party girl....even if your not. The swinging accent gives a celebratory vibe of the 1920's flapper style.
To modernize this intricate style keep accessories minimal. Pair it with simple accessories. Avoid large dangling earrings or multi stringed bracelets or necklaces. Wear only earrings this will keep attention to the face and the dress will be the statement piece.
A leopard print or zebra print clutch will give added umph which will keep accessories minimal but bold.

 Silver-tier
This is the laid back family section.
Denim, denim cut offs, shorts, evening dresses or mini skirts can definately be pulled off here. Here some references.

For your accessories make them fun or whatever you find will suit you best.
Enjoy your evening and thanks for reading.
