Lala Vasquez has some "Motives"

LaLa Vasquez, Mrs. Carmelo Anthony, has now added makeup line under her belt. She is widely known to have been a MTV VJ, now she is a reality show star, starring in movies, acting on Broadway, hosting major events and now she is launching a makeup collection.  I guess she opted to just not just doing the obligatory celeb clothing line and stepping out of the box just a little bit.

Like how most news are being conveyed today by our celebrities, she initially tweeted photos of her collection called “Motives”. 

She is mostly pictured always making appearances touting her perfect eyebrows and well done makeup, why not own your own line too?  Mrs. Anthony will make the fourth VH1 reality star that has launched a beauty company.  Jennifer Williams, Evelyn Lozado and Tami Roman "Basketball Wives" are also vying for a spot in your beauty regimen with cosmetic and hair product launches of their own. Unlike her fellow “wives” its nice to see that she has managed to find success without the hair pulling and name calling, like those other "wives" seem to find fame in.

The complaint by many of us is the lack of options for women of colour in beauty products. LaLa was also discouraged, therefore she saw the need in creating a line with a major focus on offering a wide range of foundation colors for all skin tones (light to dark).

The collection will also include lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow and shimmer. 

The Line is said to be launched in February and Mrs. Anthony shared photos (promotional  pictures) of the packaging that “Motives” is encased in as well. Her lip plumper is already available via Market America and she’s excited to bring her other products to market too. It looks to be a well rounded collection so far (although a foundation compact is not spotted yet), with plenty of glosses, lipstick shades and a gorgeous looking eye palette to boot. Will she give a notion as to what the brand name “Motives” stand for? Hmm maybe we will  have to stay tuned to her full court life to see. Congrats to LaLa.
