When old Glamour, Meets new Glamour. One word: J'Adore.

It’s like watching a wine connoisseur, taste the finest of wines while having grand conversations with the elite in a five star setting. That's the scene I conjure up in my mind when I see the new commercial by Dior, for their 2011 Campaign.

I've always imagined that us women were like wines, some ample, some austere and some are better when aged: Gracefully of course ;).

Featured in the commercial, were old Hollywood beauties: Grace Kelly, who was the combination of regality, ladylike virtue and had an underlying sex appeal mixed with a fresh face.
Marilyn Monroe who was unassuming and very seductive. Gave enough, but still had men yearning and imagining for more.
Last but not least, the world’s most ‘glamorous grandmother’ as she was donned by most, Marlene Dietrich, who maintained her worldly glamour up until her death at 90.

Charlize Theron, Dior’s leading spokesperson, has a vintage appeal whose beauty equates and is in tandem as the women she was featured with. Her body was made to hang couture and her aura reflects a debutante, but every inch new Hollywood. I love the fact that in this commercial they all were made to seem as if they were working. Makes you wonder what it would have been like onset.

Filmed at Galerie des Glaces at the Chateau de Versailles, this ad is impressively executed by overlaying shots of the sirens with modern takes of Charlize it really brings to life a walk through old and new Hollywood ;).

Whats your opinion?.
