Roberto Cavalli, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo and Lanvin, these are some of the high end designers H&M is known to bring. These designers have created affordable apparel and accessories and with the convergence of high and fast fashion, joining them will be Donatella Versace. She will be bringing the same upscale vibe of her Italy-based label to create a luxe line for both men and women. These designs are set to debut November 17, 2011.
Here's a sketch of an upcoming design, as seen on Donatella below.

The head of Versace fashion house had once stated back in 2008: 'I work very hard to put the Versace line in the luxury section. I think to put the Versace line in H&M; would confuse the brand.'
Well fast foward and guess who is now collaborating with H&M? yup thats right...Versace. Luckily for us our wardrobe and pockets, can now be happy she became shall I say.... unconfused.
With today’s economy H&M is now creating fashion that is luxurious and affordable. Versace will be designing an exclusive line for the store consisting of 40 women’s pieces and 20 men’s pieces.
'Glamorous and Flamboyant' is what is said to be expected along with 'leather, print, color and exuberance in exclusive materials at fantastic H&M; prices.'
With just a month left - the line will be displayed in a full New York Parade on November 8th - so naturally advertising will be trickling images to the masses. The now diffused line follows Versace’s signature approach of exuberance with a small preview materializing in the form of a pink suit and a multi-patterned jacket. I feel like I'm back in the 90's when I see some of the designs.
High-end designers collaborating with high-street stores, makes me one happy dama! Do I want to deal with waiting in those crazy lines and dealing with all that mess...yes! Catch me in line at 5 am. Nah I'll pass ;).
