So on Sunday, Nov. 6 at (8 PM ET/PT) I will be in front of my tele wearing sequins or a mink vest with my lil disco ball in hand, watching BET's Black Girls Rock!
This year the star studded Awards ceremony took place at the Paradise Theater in New York and was co hosted by my favourite 'Girlfriend' Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King.
I'm really looking foward to this years performances from: Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige, Melanie Fiona, Mary Mary, Jill Scott, Elle Varner (whose music I'm growing to appreciate alot) and Estelle, who I'm sure will be showing how spectacular they are.
BGR! is founded by celebrity DJ and Philanthropist Beverly Bond. The organization mentors young Black Women and also works to battle negative images of Black women in the media.
Personally I love any thing that gives major love to Black Women...Aren't we just fab? Check it ;)
Speaking of Fab, the celebrities were in tow with all the latest trends, brought out their A game and sequins was a hit among some. All in all one of my fave looks was Erykah Badu...say what you will but lady knows how to work an outfit or shall I say creation. Loves her!
